  • Stretching for 65 kilometres are the sandy beaches of the Sunshine Coast, extending from Caloundra north to the trendy Noosa and Noosaville. Visitors to the Sunshine Coast can't go past Noosa and its surrounding centres: these include Noosaville, Noosa Heads, Noosa Junction and Sunshine Beach.
  • Vibrant Hastings Street at Noosa Heads is alive with designer boutiques, sidewalk cafes and restaurants and all manner of accommodation.

Sunshine Coast Attractions
Sunshine Coast is boasting with activities like fishing, visiting attractions, canoeing or wandering the markets. Rivers, sheltered bays and surf beaches provide a variety of swimming spots. Factor in an indulgent  massage for two, a quiet rainforest walk, a round of golf or a romantic dinner in the mountains or by the sea. 

  • The Sunshine Coast boasts over 65 kilometres of the worlds most beautiful beaches. Eco-tourists will find many unspoiled locations with native flora and fauna existing as nature intended.
  • Fraser Island - Separated from the mainland by a narrow channel, Fraser Island is the largest sand island in the world. Fraser Island is World heritage listed and almost the entire island is a protected National Park.
  • Australia Zoo - Sunshine Coast's amazing home of the Crocodile Hunter, is a twenty minute drive from the coastal strip.

  • The Big Pineapple - in glorious Nambour offers a day of fun and entertainment for the whole family. Visitors to the plantation are greeted by a 16m high, fibreglass Pineapple.
  • Eumundi Markets - Situated in the heart of the town of Eumundi is the original Eumundi Markets which were established in 1979. View artworks and sculptures by local artists. Taste home-made lemonade, freshly baked breads, locally grown produce and fresh seasonal fruit.
  • Underwater World
    Discover the creatures of the deep at Underwater World, the largest tropical Oceanarium in the southern hemisphere. UnderWater World is located adjacent to Mooloolaba Beach on the Wharf complex.

Events
Spectator or participant, you'll get a real buzz out of just being hereon the beautiful Sunshine Coast. Film festivals, triathlons, tennis, golf, chess, country music, blue water sailing classic, visual and performing arts, surf life saving, - the Sunshine Coast hosts one of the broadest ranges of festivals and events you'll find anywhere. Annual events , such as the Noosa International Film Festival, Noosa Triathlon, Gympie Country Music Muster, and the Brisbane to Mooloolaba blue water sailing classic bring the best in their field here to participate. Local Weather
The Sunshine Coast has one of the highest sunshine readings in the world, averaging seven hours a day. The variation between summer and winter is much less than you experience in Europe, North America, and northern Asia.

Ocean temperatures range from 26 degrees Centigrade in summer to 19 degrees C in winter (79 to 66 degrees Fahrenheit).

Summer
average temperatures (between December and February)
17 degrees Centigrade - 28 degrees C (63 to 82 degrees F). Though there are warmer days the coastal areas enjoy sea breezes.

Spring
(September to November) and Autumn (March to May) average temperatures
13 to 25 degrees C (55 to 77 degrees F).

Winter average temperatures (June to March)
7 to 22 degrees C (45 to 72 degrees F). Temperatures in the Blackall Range can be several degrees cooler.

Population
Boasting a total population of just under 200,000 from Noosa Shire in the North to Maroochy Shire in the middle to Caloundra City at the Southern end.

Getting here
From Sunshine Coast Airport -
The Sunshine Coast region is serviced by the  Sunshine Coast Airport . It is easily accessible by taxi and coach services.
From Brisbane International / Domestic Airport -
Located 18kms from the centre of Brisbane City, the Brisbane airport is approximately 75mins from the Sunshine Coast. Access between the airport and the Sunshine Coast is by Airtrain , or Coach. Terminal Maps are available for those passengers who will be spending some time there.
